Our July auction #359 is ready for your bidding pleasure.
The sale offers more material continued from large holdings, spread out over several sales. Of note are extras from the “Shoebox” estate of vintage postcards; forgery & other literature from the Sergio Sismondo reference library and material from several old-time dealers, which only now is re-entering the market.
We begin on Tuesday, July 8th with a good variety of US cover & postal stationery lots including Delaware related FDCs, advertising covers and a great selection of Confederate covers. Our Foreign covers selection showcases a large group of Zeppelin covers from less common countries, German Area covers & stationery and other WW accumulations. The US section highlights include many Classics with certificates such as #130, 135, 160, 220c, 366, E9 NH graded 85 and more; better Duck RW31 NH plate block of six.
Our 2nd Session begins with US collections including many face value & revenue lots, plus 7 collections with estimates over $1K; we offer more interesting Autographs from a large Midwestern estate with a variety of individuals such as aviators, politicians and early American figures. And for you royal fans, we have an autograph of the future King Edward VIII as well as the rare stamp essays for his 1937 coronation that never happened. Also don’t forget our ever-popular ephemera mystery lots.
As usual, we have many worldwide singles, country lots, topicals & accumulations. There are also some larger groups in this sale including Classic Canada & Provinces, Germany & Area, plus scarce Brunei 1996 S/S for sultan’s birthday, Occupied Lithuania locals and several country revenue lots.
A big thank you to all our consignors and bidders!
