Our May Auction #358 will get you ready for summer.
The sale offers much material continued from large holdings, spread out over several sales. Of note are covers & labels from the Dr. Herb Trenchard estate, plus other collections benefiting the APS & APRL (so marked throughout the sale); the return of the “Shoebox” estate of vintage postcards; more literature from the Sergio Sismondo reference library, and material from several old-time dealers, which only now is re-entering the market.
We begin on Tuesday, May 13th with a good variety of US covers & postal stationery lots including free franks, advertising covers, groups of 19th Century and a great selection of Confederate covers. Our Foreign covers selection showcases some Rocket Mail, German Area covers & stationery and other WW accumulations.
The US section highlights include many Classics with certificates such as #3-4, 86 thin paper var used, E4 NH; a nice group of Grills, several lots of proofs & essays and more.
Our 2nd Session begins with US collections including Revenues; we offer more interesting Autographs from a large Midwestern estate including historic & literary figures of Latin America and a variety of individuals such as astronauts, politicians and even Rasputin! Also do not forget our ever-popular ephemera lots with historic newspapers, cigarette card albums, sports card wax packs and mystery lots.
As usual, we have many worldwide singles, country lots, topicals & accumulations. There are also some larger groups in this sale including Australian Roos, Classic Canada, Germany & Area, Classic Great Britain, Irish Seahorses and more.
A big thank you to all our consignors and bidders!
